Of course I couldn't start with a small or even average sized canvas, I went all out and got a 60x80cm one and just went to town. It isn't perfect(which i actually prefer)and it has lots of bright colours, so I am definitely happy with the way it turned out. I can't wait to hang it up on my unadorned white hallway wall for a nice splash of cheeriness!
Sporadically documenting my love of teaching, crafting, cooking and of all things vintage.

Arty Ikat
Yesterday I nervously attempted my first ever painting. I have been seeing gorgeous ikat print everywhere in fashion and home decor and it inspired me to try to create my own painted version. I am a little worried about the trendy-ness of this project, but the good news is it definitely wasn't a bank breaker...so if I get sick of it no biggie:)
